The School House is divine! We stayed with two couples and it was very comfortable. It would also be ideal for a couple or even a family with children. The actual building, inside and out, is beautifully designed. Although very modern, it has quirks of its rich history, which I appreciate. It has plenty of natural light. The temperature was very comfortable, not too hot nor too cold. The beds are comfortable and spacious, even the bed in the second bedroom. The bathroom is enormous and very luxurious! We did not get an opportunity to use the bath but it looked beautiful. There was plenty of space to have a break after exploring Hobart all day, with a sitting room and tv. Linen and towels were very nice quality. The bathroom had all Sukin products, which was very nice. Milk and orange juice was awaiting us in the fridge which was a very welcome touch. The location is convenient. It is a short stroll from Sandy Bay Road, which has plenty of cafes. It's also a very short drive to Salamanca place although if weather permits it would be a fine walk. The neighbourhood is very quiet. The Host, Rebecca, is incredibly lovely and was prompt to respond to emails and messages. Self check-in was available and very easy. I highly recommend the School House. It has the comforts of a home but the luxury of a five star hotel. It is very well priced and was an absolute joy to stay in!

It's the highlight of our trip - a retractable roof certainly made it like camping in your own room. The bathroom was clean and equipped with abundant consumables. No complains at all - definitely recommended and will come back.
We had a brilliant first night in Hobart staying at Rebecca's gorgeous Hideaway - it was like staying in a boutique hotel! It felt secluded yet so close to the centre of town, the design was amazing and the retractable roof was a highlight! Rebecca was very helpful and we hope to stay again soon!
We stayed for 2 nights at Rebecca’s apartment. It’s very cosy and its roof is such a catch! We can lie on the bed and look at the clear blue sky all day long! Located at the back of the garden is like living in a secret garden with high privacy. Highly recommend if anyone would like an unusal experience.

I don't even know how to describe this place, you just have to experience it! Such a cool little secluded space and YES with an opening roof at the touch of a button! Amazing. So easy to organise, great location, close walk to restaurants and pubs, great private outdoor chill area with a nice view...would definitely recommend.
The history of the property is spectacular and Rebecca did a fantastic job leveraging the history while infusing modern amenities. This property is a must-stay, truly unique and beautiful.
Lovely clean and comfortable apartment. Light and bright and well designed. Nice garden outlook, with view of the Derwent in the distance. Well equipped with everything you need for a few days stay. Rebecca was very efficient in providing all the relevant details before our arrival and with local info while we were there. She was flexible with the checkout time which helped us to work around our flight time. We walked around everywhere in Hobart mostly and the location is quite convenient for this being close to the Sandy Bay shops, Battery Point, Salamanca Place and the wharves. It's quite hilly though, so bear this in mind! A couple of times we used Uber to get from A to B, and found this to be helpful in supplementing some public transport gaps. It's relatively new in Hobart, but saved our legs on a couple of occasions. All in all, a great stay in beautiful accomodation.
OMG! This place is so beautiful! And uniquely cool, at the end of the day of trekking around the sights, a comfy bed is a must! This is comfy, it's a small space but really funky, if you appreciate architecture, stay here. The host is amazingly communicative and made the entire process easy, as it should be. I would definitely stay with Rebecca again, in any of her listings!
Excellent stay at Rebecca's, would highly recommend. Great location. Perfect place to use as a base. Walking distance to a lot of great dining options. The hideaway itself was perfect, had everything we wanted was clean and modern. Can't wait to return
Rebecca's place is amazing! Rebecca was great and very hospitable, greeting us on our arrival. Her local knowledge of restaurants and attractions was super extensive and helpful. Her private, modern, self contained cottage was amazingly luxurious! The shower was most decadent and the bed with retractable roof was a wonderfully unique experience. Thanks so much. This is a gorgeous little space in a great location within walking distance to Salamanca/town centre. Rebecca was a friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend staying here!
Great location - you can walk everywhere. Immaculately presented and clean. Wonderful info on places to eat. Definitely check out "small fry" and "ginger brown" for breakfast or coffee.
